Hello and thank you for visiting! It is our goal as your full service real estate company specializing in the Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, Calabash and Shallote areas, to provide you with superior service at all times.

In March 2010 we celebrate our 11th year of residency in North Carolina and it is hard to believe how fortunate we were to make the move when we did.

Former residents of Danbury and New Fairfield, Connecticut, we discovered the beautiful beaches and golf courses of the South Brunswick Isles in October 1997 while on a vacation to visit our son in college.

We immediately liked the beaches, the friendly people and the slower pace of life, but had no immediate intentions of moving South. A couple subsequent visits and we knew we were destined to migrate south. Within 18 months, we built a new home in Ocean Isle Beach and said goodbye to our friends up North. It did not take long for us to settle into our new Southern lifestyle.

We continue to enjoy the milder weather, uncrowded beaches, great restaurants, cultural events, golf courses, low property taxes, and, best of all, our many new friends and neighbors.

My wife is a Registered Nurse working in a Doctor's Office associated with Brunswick Community Hospital. After having worked for over 15 years with Coldwell Banker Real Estate, I began Fred Thorne Realty in 2003 to better serve my clients and personal referral business.  We are both very involved in our community and Fred is a member of the American Legion Post 503 in Calabash NC and the Post Webmaster, past Director with the Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® and Webmaster for We The People of Brunswick County NC.
